In motor vehicles when the air taken from outside is sent to the engine cylinder, noise occurs due to various reasons especially with the resonance effect. Resonator is used to prevent this noise. It is also called as air suction resonator or air retention box. The use of a resonator saves fuel consumption by absorbing hot air and increases the combustion performance and engine power by filling the cylinders with fresh air and by limiting the escape of the air.

Resonators are bulky due to their working principle and there is limited space in the engine compartments. Floteks can design the resonator in a limited volume using the advantage of the rotation molding. Plastic materials suitable for difficult engine room conditions are used.
